Nedime Education Foundation was established in the name of Nedime Görpelioğlu, a beautiful mother, to sustain what she had been doing. The foundation started to grant its first set of scholarships to university students who suffered in the wake of the 1999 earthquake. The scholarships offered by Nedime Education Foundation have been nonrefundable since 1999 and the number of scholarship holders has been constantly increasing.

To date, hundreds of university students have received or are receiving scholarships from Nedime Education Foundation so that they can continue their education on the bright path drawn by our dear Atatürk.
